Pitching, Putting and Otherwise Fine-tuning Your Governance Game
This interactive session will assist novice and veteran board members with today’s enormous challenges. Going beyond the basic fiduciary responsibilities of pool governance, this workshop will address the qualities of high-performance boards.
We will help attendees understand how the attitudes, outlook and actions of their colleagues influence decision-making, and provide techniques for boards to become more cohesive, effective decision-making bodies.

The loss trends of one state helps to identify the most common and costly law enforcement liability claims and provide an overview of the legal issues involved that are important to defend these claims. This session will provide recommendations for formulating law enforcement policies, procedures and training to mitigate costs.

Most pools have a keen understanding of the exposures their members face and the environment in which they operate. Unfortunately, the rules can and do change in the event of a major claim.
