Registration Questions
Q: Who may attend?
a: Anyone can attend. The conference is aimed more specifically at anyone participating in, considering or serving a pool, risk retention group or association insurance program could benefit from attending the conference. Back to top.
Q: How much is conference registration?
a: Registration is $750 per person. The pre-conference tutorial is $195. The 5th person from your organization is free. Back to top.
Q: Is there a discount for multiple registrants?
a: Yes. Every 5th person from your organization is free. This free registration includes the pre-conference tutorial. Back to top.
Q: Are there early bird discounts?

Q: I've attended in the past? Is there an alumni discount?

Q: Is there a registration deadline?
a: No. However, there are deadlines related to lodging availability and discounts for conference participants Back to top.
Q: What are my registration payment options?
a: Pay online by credit card. Or register online and ask for an invoice to be sent. Or contact us by phone. Or send us and email. Back to top.

Q: Can I register by phone?

Q: How and when will my registration be confirmed?
a: You will receive a registration confirmation letter from us within a week of registering. Your online registrations will also be electronically confirmed via email immediately. Back to top.
Q: When will I receive my conference badge and/or tickets?
a: You will get badges at the hotel, where we will have a conference check-in booth set up. It will open the day before the conference and remain open the next day. For more specific hours please check our schedule page, which will contain the most up-to-date conference scheduling information. Back to top.
Q: What is included with my registration fee?
a: Continental breakfasts and refreshment breaks both days. Back to top.
Q: What is the pre-conference tutorial? Why does it cost extra?
a: The pre-conference tutorial is a half-day session that goes into selected topics and issues in a little more detail than the shorter conference sessions will. Lunch is included but space is limited. Back to top.

Program Questions
Q: Do I have to sign-up for sessions in advance?
a: No. First come, first serve. Back to top.
Q: Will session presentations be available after the conference?
a: Session presentations and handout material will be available at the conference, on a compact disk and on the conference website. Back to top.
Q: I cannot attend this year. Can I purchase session materials?
a: Session presentations will be available on the website and are not password protected or exclusive to conference attendees. Back to top.
Q: Are sessions recorded?
a: No. Participants are invited to take copious notes. Back to top.
Q: May I bring a guest to the keynote or other sessions?
a: No, we'd prefer not. However, we have rented an aircraft carrier for the Tuesday night event - guests are welcome and free! Back to top.
Travel / Lodging Questions
Q: What is the host hotel?
a: The host hotel for the 2009 conference is the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines. For alternative hotels please see travel and lodging information on our Hotels page. Back to top.
Q: What is the hotel reservation cut-off date?
a: July 2, 2009. Back to top.
Q: What is the nearest airport to the hotel? How far?
a: San Diego International Airport (Lindbergh Field) is 20 miles away. Back to top.
Q: How much is parking at the Hilton La Jolla?
a: $20.00 overnight guests. $25.00 valet overnight guests. Back to top.
Q: What is the meeting attire?
a: Business casual. The evening dinner may be just above business casual but nothing like jackets and ties required. We'll be in Sourthern California during the summer so pack some shorts and beachware. We expect to see sunny skies and warm temperatures and a little ocean breeze to cool us off in the evenings. Q: What is the cancellation policy?
a: If we receive your cancellation before June 27, 2009, we will refund your registration fees in full. Cancellations received between June 27 and July 10, 2009 will receive a 50% refund. After July 10, 2009, no refunds will be made. Contact us to arrange substitutes. Back to top
Q: When and where is the next conference?
